What is one of the best parts about spring and summer? Aside from better weather and sunshine, the flowers in bloom are a favorite sign of the warmer months for many. If you would like to bring a colorful display of flowers into your home but don't have a garden, did you know there are several places around the state where you can pick your own? One such place is Parlee Farms, one of our favorite U-pick flower farms in Massachusetts.
Parlee Farms is a 93-acre family-owned farm that offers a variety of pick-your-own options including fruit, pumpkins, and flowers.
You'll find some of the most beautiful flowers in the area growing here at Parlee Farms. This picture-perfect farm is a wonderful place to visit and pick your own flowers.
There are nearly two acres that make up Parlee Farms' flower garden. Among the flowers you'll find are zinnias, gladiolus, dahlias, sunflowers, and many more.
Throughout the fields, you will find over 20 varieties of flowers. You can make quite a colorful bouquet!
The farm supplies the buckets and shears and will fill your bucket with water for the flowers.
Once you pick your flowers for the perfect arrangement to take home, the farm will wrap them up for you. If you don't want to pick your own flowers, bunches of already fresh-picked flowers are available for sale.
In the fall from early September through early October, the fields will be full of sunflowers and U-pick will be available during that time, as well.
Another fun spring attraction in Massachusetts is the Cape Cod National Seashore. Seeing the rolling fields that lead up to the ocean bursting with colorful wildflowers is a sight to see:
