Spring is approaching and we can't wait for colorful blooms galore! Check out this hidden gem in Maryland that will soon be overflowing with golden (and white) daffodils. The best part is that you can visit for free! Read on for the details -- there's no better way to kick off springtime in Maryland.
You'll find Whipps Garden Cemetery tucked away in Ellicott City, Maryland.
This beautiful little oasis is where members of the Whipps family were laid to rest. The tombstones date back from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s.
This is always a pretty place to explore, especially during early spring.
Ready to enter?
Head here at just the right time, and you'll be greeted by thousands of daffodils.
They're bordered along the twisting paths...
...and sprinkled overtop the many tombstones.
In some areas, the daffodils seem to stretch on forever.
But that's not all! Whipps Garden Cemetery is home to several other gardens as well, including a rose garden, herb garden, butterfly garden, and more. Keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of plant species (and bring your camera).
According to Whipps Garden Cemetery's Facebook page (linked below), there will be no official Daffodil Day this year. But you CAN visit any time to take in the beauty of this wonderful little spot. Find the address below and see it for yourself!
