Living in a state with all four seasons means that there's certain scenic activities that we anticipate experiencing each and every year. While some residents may be taking shelter indoors during hot and sunny summer days, some of us will be soaking up as much sun as we possibly can. Only in bloom for a brief period of time, there's a spectacular sunflower filed in Montgomery County that you'll want to visit ASAP.
In bloom this weekend, McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area looks like something out of a storybook.
Covering an entire 30-acres of the wildlife area, you'll find nine sunflower fields spread out at this magical destination.
This weekend some of these fields will be in bloom, while other fields are expected to bloom the weekend of July 28th.
Right in the town of Poolesville, the sunflowers generally stay at their peak beauty for roughly two weeks and are every photographer's dream.

While the weather may be nice and toasty, those visiting the wildlife area are encouraged to wear a good pair of hiking shoes and long pants to prevent dealing with things like sunburns, poison ivy and dreadful ticks.
