We always love waterfall adventures, especially during autumn. Check out this local waterfall that just may be the most impressive one in the state of Maryland. When surrounded by fall foliage, this natural wonder is even more wondrous. Read on for the details and head here soon!
Head west to find Swallow Falls State Park, which is located in the Oakland area.
This Maryland park is home to a few waterfalls, but Muddy Creek Falls is everyone's favorite, for obvious reasons. At 53-feet tall, it's the highest free-falling waterfall in the state.
This is always a picture-perfect spot to visit, but fall foliage takes things to a whole other level.
All of the reds, oranges, and yellows all around makes this spot look like a work of art!
Muddy Creek Fall is also easy to reach, with a short gravel walk to the falls, and then a stairway that lets you view this natural wonder from several perspectives.
You can even stand up top and marvel at the views down below. Just be sure to wear shoes with good tread, as the rocks are understandably wet.
Colors are currently at their peak, so we recommend visiting Muddy Creek Falls as soon as possible. Learn more by clicking on the website linked below, and enjoy your beautiful adventure!
