DC has been known for its varied weather. We have humidity in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. Occasionally, we even end up with a little bit of snow. Well, the Farmers’ Almanac released its prediction for winter 2018 and for those of us in DC, it might not be welcomed with joy.. or maybe it will be a joyful winter for some? It depends on the type of weather you love. Read on to find out what we have in store for us this winter.
The Farmers’ Almanac has been offering weather predictions since 1818. This year it’s reporting that the DC area is going to experience a "cold and snowy winter."
We also might get part of the "wintry chill, wet and white" forecast that they are predicting for Virginia and the Atlantic seaboard.
If you are already counting down for some snow days, we have some dates to mark down! You may want to to flag January 20-23, February 4-7, February 16-19, March 1-3 and March 20-23 for heavy snow and possible blizzards.
Weather can be a tricky thing to predict so who knows what we’ll see in the winter? In the mean time, take some time to enjoy the weather and let’s see if we’re all counting our snow days this coming winter!
