There's still time for autumn adventures in the Old Line State. Make the most of the colorful leaves while they last! One of our favorite things to do during this time of year is ride the Wisp Alpine Coaster. This outdoor coaster is full of fast fun and is definitely one unique way to view the fall foliage. Check out the details below -- you're sure to have a blast.
You may have heard of Wisp Resort, which is located in Western Maryland.
The resort is mostly known for its ski slopes. However, there are many other things to do here, including snow tubing, aerial tours, and much more. You can even stay the night in the cozy lodge and pack a whole bunch of activities into a weekend.
Perhaps the most unique thing to do at Wisp Resort is ride the Alpine Coaster.
It's open year-round, but autumn truly enhances the views.
Zip and zoom around twists and turns while enjoying views of Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding area. The cart's downhill speed is about 28 miles per hour.
Riders must be at least 3 years old and 38 inches tall. Those under 8 years of age must ride with another person who is at least 16.
There are photos available to purchase after the ride is over, so be sure to smile and say cheese! This is one Maryland adventure that we recommend everyone try at least once. It's a whole lot of fun in a beautiful part of the state.
