Maine has incredible nature and amazing food. But, what happens when we merge the two? An amazing four-course dinner under the stars is what happens! Welcome to an incredible evening of locally sourced food and drink, complete with music and pretty much in the middle of nowhere!
Pineland Farms, located in the hills of New Gloucester, is a 5,000-acre working farm.
It also acts as a business campus and educational and recreational venue.
The farms' mission is to "provide a productive and educational venue that enriches the community by demonstrating responsible farming techniques, offering educational opportunities and encouraging a healthy lifestyle through recreation."
And, if you're like us, a favorite recreation is eating!
That's where Graze comes in!
Graze at Pineland Farms is an ongoing dinner event that features a variety of local growers and producers.
These dinners are Maine's only farm-to-table dining event working to highlight the importance of recognizing and preserving community heritage, the farm, and other local producers.
Dinners at Pineland (the winter version is elsewhere) take place throughout the summer and fall and include dinner outside with the farmers and chefs who were a part of the creating the meal.
Dinners are buffet style and allow guests to enjoy food raised, planted, nurtured and harvested within minutes of the table.
Anything not available on the farm itself is sourced from nearby, local growers and businesses. This includes wine, beer and liquor as well!
Dinner also come with live music.
Each event is paired with the perfect wine and comes with some fun, "agri-tainment" for those who love the farm life.
Meals are also served with complimentary "farm fresh" cocktails before dinner.
You'll then enjoy a four course family style dinner served under a tent just across from Pineland's English Gardens.
The goal of these experiential dinners is to "strengthen local communities and economies, and to create new and sustainable income streams for local and family farmers, as well as craft beer, spirit and wine producers."
