Do you ever read the Farmers' Almanac? They make yearly predictions on the weather and they have something really fascinating to say about what winter in New Orleans will be like this year.
Everyone knows that weather in New Orleans can be very unpredictable, especially winter weather.
Even though we all love gathering for the Celebration in the Oaks, you never know if you are going to be wearing a t-shirt or a sweatshirt.
Well this year the Farmers' Almanac has something unique up it's sleeve--it's predicting "Wild" Weather for Louisiana this winter.
What does Wild Weather mean?
Well, according to the Almanac, that means that we can expect huge swings in temperature.
Meaning you could wake up one day with your shorts on and have to have your winter coat on by the end of the day.
This wild weather could include some significant storms, as well as some really calm and peaceful weather.
These swings will be somewhat unpredictable...it almost makes me wonder, did the Farmers' Almanac just look at the data and say, WTF?
Regardless, I know that this winter is going to be one to remember in New Orleans.
With a mayoral election this fall and many issues swirling around the city, we're buckling up for something fascinating in New Orleans this winter.
