Just on the outskirts of Natchitoches lies one of the most incredible alligator parks in Louisiana. Formerly known as Bayou Pierre Alligator Park, new ownership and a new name transform Louisiana's largest alligator park into a fun-filled day the entire family will enjoy.
When it comes to outdoor adventure, Gator Country is the place to be.
Find them at 380 Old Bayou Pierre Rd., Natchitoches, LA 71457.
The park has been open for nearly 25 years.
You may remember it as Bayou Pierre Alligator Park.
Home to over 250 alligators, Gator Country is the largest alligator park in Louisiana.
And the seven-acre park is home to more than just alligators, but we’ll get to that in a moment.
You’ll have a front-row seat to view these massive gators from the covered and protected walkways and platforms that surround their habitat.
Some of these gators are just absolutely huge!
During your visit, be sure to catch a feeding show.
It’s always incredible to see how nimble these creatures can be in the water.
But, as we mentioned earlier, Gator Country is home to other critters, too!
And your admission ticket covers a visit with these little fellas.
Kids and adults will have a blast seeing and holding all the different animals, including snakes and lizards.
It's the perfect photo opportunity!
However, the real fun begins in the wading pool with the baby alligators.
Seeing your kid snatch a gator out of the water is something you’ll only find in Louisiana.
Gator Country is currently open on the weekends only until March of 2021.
If you thought this place was great now, just wait until the renovations are done!
Admission is $10 per person and Gator Country is open Saturdays & Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For more information, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook so you can stay up to date on their latest improvements!
