The 185-acre park may not be the biggest state park in Louisiana, but it just might be the prettiest.
Fishermen find Cypremort Point State Park ideal for throwing a line in and seeing what comes up.
Since the park is nestled along the shores of Vermilion Bay, you can fish from the 100-foot pier or take your boat out into deeper waters.
The calm waters of the bay attract sailors from all over.
Nothing like spending a day on the open water!
But the beach is really the star of the show.
The half-mile stretch of beach is just perfect for a day of fun in the sun. Kids will love building sandcastles and splashing around in the water.
There are several cabins available to rent.
Since you'll end up loving the park so much, you'll want to spend a few days there.
In the evenings, you can cook up your fresh catch and watch as the sun sets behind the horizon.
