Due to the city’s unique layout in how it bends around the Mississippi River, there are several different spots where you’ll have a fabulous view of the Crescent City. One of the best views of the city skyline is over at Crescent Park, where the views will make you fall in love with the city all over again.
New Orleans has many public parks and each one is prettier than the next.
While Audubon Park and City Park tend to take the spotlight much of the time, there’s a little park over in the French Market District that’s perfect for an afternoon stroll.
At only 1.4 miles long, this 20 acre park may not be the biggest park in the city, but it certainly packs a punch when it comes to views.
The Piety Street Entrance has a footbridge arch that will give you a bit of a bird’s eye view of the skyline.
When you get to the top, you’ll be in awe at the view before you.
The walkway hugs the river for the length of the park with several benches peppered along the way, which is great for stopping for a moment to take in the view and watch the ships go by.
The views from Crescent Park are beautiful no matter what time of day you visit, but if you have the opportunity to go at dusk, do it.
Because there’s nothing more beautiful than watching the sun paint a colorful display in the sky with the city skyline and the Mississippi River before you.
