And bring the whole family! There’s plenty of attractions to keep everyone entertained for an afternoon, like this whimsical playground.
Rich in flora, fauna, and wildlife it’s a great place to get lost in nature for a few hours. The views of Bayou Liberty alone will make you fall in love at first sight.
There are four trails within the park. Each one is less than a mile long, so you can mix and match depending on your schedule.
One of the coolest attractions in the park is also one of the oldest.
The park was once part of the Salmen Brick and Lumber Company, and during your visit you’ll see an old French Creole residence, named the Salmon Lodge. It’s listed on the National Registry of Historic Places is one of only 26 buildings in the parish that dates back before the Civil War!
Whether you visit the park for its history, wildlife, or scenic value, one thing is for sure: there's something for everyone.
The park is open Wednesday-Sunday from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. and admission is free.
