The Tioga Falls Trail is a 2-mile, out and back hike that's located near West Point, Kentucky.

Today, you can walk along paths that were once crossed by those in carriages.
Much of the trail is through the woods and shaded, but it is rated moderate. Expect some rocky terrain and steep climbs. Right now, there is also a detour at the beginning of the trail, so be sure to follow the signs.
The trail has a little bit of everything and kids will love the bridges and creek views.
Since this is a popular trail, expect crowds on the weekends. If you want a quieter hike, try for a week day or early in the morning.
But this really is a waterfall trail in Kentucky everyone should try at least once.
You'll reach a point where an active railroad crosses the trail, so be cautious, but definitely enjoy these views. Imagine the gorgeous color in the fall!
This is a popular spot for photos, but you'll want to stay off the train tracks as much as possible.
As you walk along the trail, also keep a look out for any abandoned structures or old steps that prove the long history of this land.
Eventually you will reach the cascade of Tioga Falls, which is especially beautiful after rainfall.
This waterfall can be underwhelming in dry conditions, so keep that in mind. Also, as with every trail in Kentucky, leave no trace of your visit. In fact, you may choose to bring along a trash bag and some gloves to help out and clean up after some not-so-tidy visitors.
If Tioga Falls is reduced to a slower flow, you'll still enjoy the views and history of this lovely hike in Kentucky.
