Kentucky is known for its knobs, and there are several easy-to-navigate hikes in the eponymous Knobs State Forest.
If you look out the window whilst cruising through the Bluegrass, you've probably noticed these lush little hills. Or perhaps, you mistook them for mountains.
They are neither. These geographical wonders are known as knobs.
You'll find these undulating regions located all throughout the southern and eastern parts of Kentucky.
Smaller than mountains, but bigger than hills, Kentucky's knobs are what Goldilocks would call "just right."

But just because these trails are moderate, doesn't mean they lacking the picturesque "pow" of a waterfall hike or mountain trek. The knobs trails here are geographically varied and teeming with wildlife and scenic beauty.
