After spending a little time exploring Kentucky, it doesn't take long to fall in love with our state. If you're raising children in the Bluegrass, you likely want them to share that affection, which is easy to accomplish. With so many fun things to do and beautiful places to visit, there's a lot to love about Kentucky, and if you're on a quest for your family to feel the love, then check out these 11 places to take your kids so they instantly fall in love with Kentucky.
1. Land Between the Lakes
Land Between the Lakes is a National Recreation Area situated between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. It is known for its diverse landscape and wildlife and is a wonderful place to visit all year long. There are many child-friendly trails and plenty to do in the area for all ages. 2. Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo
This is no ordinary zoo, as Kentucky Down Under is home to a unique variety of animals that are sure to please almost any children. 3. One of Kentucky's Sandy Beaches
Despite being a landlocked state, Kentucky actually has quite a few sandy beaches that are ideal for our state's youngest residents. You won't find crashing waves, but you will find calm waters that are perfect for splashing around and beautiful, serene surroundings that are ideal for the entire family. 4. Cumberland Falls
Everyone loves waterfalls, and children are no exception. What better way to show off the natural beauty of our state than to take them to Kentucky’s largest waterfall? Cumberland Falls is easy to reach along a short trail, and the railings keep it safe for young hikers. There are also many other trails in the area that are ideal for adventurous little ones. 5. An Epic Treehouse
It's every child's dream to have their very own treehouse, and in Kentucky, you can spend the night in an amazing one! 6. Louisville Mega Cavern

8. Ride the Rails
It's easy to fall in love with Kentucky when you're chugging through the countryside or the mountains aboard a train.
