You could spend a lifetime exploring the hiking trails of Kentucky and never see all of the natural wonders our state has to offer. Those who aren't familiar with our landscape are often surprised to learn that the Bluegrass State is actually home to an incredibly diverse offering of natural beauty that includes rock formations, mountains, lakes, cliffs, gorges, waterfalls, and more. With so many secrets hiding in the forest, there's bound to be a hidden waterfall in Kentucky that's almost too magical to be real. This drone video, shared below, by Ben Childers Photography, shows off an incredible double waterfall that is tucked away on a very difficult trail, so enjoy a glimpse of it with this footage and photos.
Laurel County is one of the most stunning areas of our state and is filled with exciting ways to spend time outdoors.
There are many well-known, easier trails that are ideal for most hikers, but of course there are some that challenge your sense of adventure and direction. One of the more difficult hikes in the area is the out and back trail to Pine Island Double Falls.
This magnificent double waterfall is hidden deep in the woods and should only be found by those who wish to leave the area as natural and pristine as when they arrived.
It's not a particularly long trail, but it is rustic and you won't find it on many maps. If you do wish to learn more about the trail, you can read reviews, see more photos, and find the GPS coordinates on the Alltrails website.
Pine Island Double Falls is perhaps the most enchanting waterfall in all of Kentucky, and we love that it's somewhat hidden and hard to reach.
While avid hikers have enjoyed this view in person, witnessing these beautiful photos and the drone footage below are the second best way to experience this hidden waterfall in Kentucky.
Now enjoy the opportunity to fly above a rare double waterfall in Kentucky and escape your troubles with this relaxing video by Ben Childers Photography:
