Have you ever wanted to see farther than the horizon, farther than your state? Well, you can do so, without ever leaving Kansas! This beautiful spot encompasses all of the beauty we share with our neighboring states. While we aren't sure whether you can really see the fourth state from up here, we'd like to think it's true.
And here's where to find it!
Traveling the Glacial Hills Scenic Byway in Kansas, you'll find stunning views like these, but as you come up to the lookout point, you're met with even more beauty.
In White Cloud, way up in the northeast, there's a great place to look over the states, called the 4-state lookout.
Here, you can see Kansas (obviously), Nebraska, and Missouri, but it's rumored that on clear days, you can see far enough to catch a glimpse of Iowa as well. Hence the name!
Sunsets at the lookout are doubly beautiful because you can see from every side just how the sun paints the sky. Plus, it reflects beautifully off the water of the Missouri river.
Here's a great video by TomKissa Hefley (YouTube) that shows just how beautiful this location is.
