We love Kansas; We really do...but you know what we absolutely cannot stand? Those dreaded ice storms we experience every year. But just when we decide to pack it all up and move to the warm Caribbean, winter in Kansas drops our jaws in another way with beautiful wintry scenes like these:
1. How gorgeous is this frosted tree...
2. ...and road just outside of Hays?
3. Check out these frozen waters and cliffs around Kanopolis Lake.
4. Not even the frigid temperatures can keep Lenexa from looking lovely!
5. Same goes for a chilly evening near Clinton Lake.
6. Look at the beauty of this frozen farm.
7. And in Gardner it looks like a snow globe.
8. These birds love soaring high over chilly Lawrence!
9. More of cold, cold, cold Clinton Lake.
10. Sometimes there's just a light dusting over the Little Apple (Manhattan).
11. Proof that Kansas' wide open spaces are always stunning!
12. Winter at beautiful Kaw Point.
13. Awaiting the spring thaw at John Redmond Reservoir.
