Fall is finally here! Pumpkins are ripe and ready for picking, so why not get started on a trip to your local pumpkin patch? There's plenty of fall activities to do at each one, and some even have extra activities for the little ones. The following are a few of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Kansas City area you should try out. They'd make a perfect fall day trip!
1. Alldredge Orchards - Platte City, Missouri
At Alldredge Orchards, you can pick your own apples in addition to pumpkins, but apples go out of season a little faster. The pumpkin patch is together with a cafe, playground, and farm animals.
2. Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch - Liberty, Missouri
What's great about Carolyn's is that they aren't afraid of a rainy day. They have 20 acres set aside for entertainment and activities, and they're open 7 days a week until Halloween.
3. Faulkner's Ranch - Kansas City, Missouri
Here at Faulkner's Ranch, there are all sorts of fun activities to check out when you visit. It's definitely not an "in and out" type of trip.
4. Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch - Kearney, Missouri
Just looking at this photo, Fun Farm already looks inviting. You can choose to get a ticket for just the pumpkin patch, the corn maze, or a combo of both.
5. Johnson Farms Plants and Pumpkins - Belton, Missouri
The flowers are gorgeous, but the pumpkins are bright and ready to go home with you! This truckload makes me think of homemade pumpkin pie. Yummy!
6. Kerby Farm Pumpkin Patch - Bonner Springs, Kansas
In addition to their charming pumpkin patch, Kerby Farm has a corn maze, hay rides, and lots of other little activities to keep you busy during the day. It's a smaller farm, but they are popular for a reason!
7. Louisburg Cider Mill - Louisburg, Kansas
If you've never experienced fresh apple cider and a hot apple cider doughnut, then you're missing out big time. Plus, the pumpkin patch and activities are a great excuse to grab some while you're here!
8. Pumpkins Etc. - Platte City, Missouri
This farm in Platte City is family owned and grown, and have been around since 1984. Admission is free, but you pay for the pumpkins you'd like to keep. What beautiful pumpkins they are, too!
