1. The Kesling Wetland and Farmstead

2. Greene-Sullivan State Forrest

3. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore
The dunes are an ecological wonder that will have you wondering what's so impressive about beaches and oceans. Located along gorgeous Lake Michigan, you'll find 15 miles worth of gorgeous beaches, hills, and intriguing terrain. Start your trip at 1215 Indiana 49, Porter, IN 46304.
4. Brown County State Park
This lovely state park will have you believing you stepped into another state. With rolling hills and scenery that looks almost too good to be true, you'll feel like you've walked right into heaven. Find it at 1810 State Road 46 East, Nashville, IN 47448.
5. Garfield Park Conservatory and Sunken Gardens
Hidden on the south side of Indianapolis, this marvelous gem is a delight to behold. This colorful and magical garden and the conservatory inside offer exciting glimpses of whimsical nature. You'll find it at 2345 Pagoda Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
6. Shades State Park
This enchanting park is often overshadowed by more popular state parks, but it's quite possibly the most beautiful park in the entire state. You'll find peace and quiet, along with sandstone cliffs and canyons, here. Discover it at 7751 S 890 W, Waveland, IN 47989..
7. Marengo Cave
This fascinating cave is one of Indiana's top attractions - and for good reason. You can take two different exhilarating tours through this marvelous cave system and behold it's beauty up close. Tour it at 400 E St, Hwy 64, Marengo, IN 47140.
8. Cataract Falls
This incredible waterfall is Indiana's largest waterfall by volume and consists of an upper and lower falls area. It's also gorgeous any time of year (and particularly magical when frozen). Check it out at Off Country Rd. 1050 North, 2605 N. Cataract Road, IN 47460.
9. Potawatomi Wildlife Park
This stunning wildlife preserve is open year round and offers a quiet and relaxing visit during the wintertime. You can visit anytime between sunrise and sunset. Find it at 16998 State Road 331, Tippecanoe, IN 46504.
10. Huntington Sunken Gardens
This gorgeous garden located inside of Memorial Park will have you believing you stepped into a fairy tale. It's one of the only gardens of its kind in the entire country and you should definitely visit it at least once. Find it at 1125 W Park Dr, Huntington, IN 46750.
11. Mounds State Park
This lesser known state park offers its fair share of wildlife and nature in a breathtaking setting. If you're looking to stay away from crowds, this is the park for you. Find it at 4306 Mounds Rd, Anderson, IN 46017.
12. Pokagon State Park
This state park in northern Indiana is a haven in the summertime, but offers lots of fun in the fall and winter, as well. It's also one of the most gorgeous, forested parks in the state. Check it out at 450 Ln 100 Lake James, Angola, IN 46703.
