Indiana is full of beauty and charm, but there are still dozens of places that the general population doesn't know they should explore. One of these secret gems can be found in the town of Middlebury. Here lies a natural oasis that many Hoosiers have never explored.
This stunning park is home to some very unique sights, such as the huge, looming toadstool sculpture above. The gardens themselves offer numerous varieties of flowers and shrubbery, and they feature a calming reflecting pool and fountain.
Visitors will also find statues scattered across this natural oasis. Other structures such as a mill house, arbor containing swings, and pergola can also be explored.
The windmill in Krider Gardens is another fantastic feature for visitors to behold. No matter where you end up in this stunning park, you’re bound to be enchanted.
Of course, if you want to make a full trip out of your visit to Krider Gardens, bring your bike and ride along the 17.6-mile Pumpkinvine Trail that runs through the park. In fact, many visitors to the trail often stop in Krider Gardens to rest, never fully prepared for the beauty that awaits them.
