Here’s the thing – I live in the city. I live in Indianapolis, so I do not really get the joy or pleasure of experiencing the country without going on a bit of a drive first. I also don't get the pleasure of farm gazing. One of my favorite things to do when we go on a road trip across the state is check out all of the beautiful farms. We have some pretty incredible ones at the side of the road all across the state. Thanks to some incredible photographers, I was able to put a gallery of some pretty incredible pictures together for you to view.
1. Check out this gorgeous shot of a farm somewhere in Southern Indiana. I love the bales of hay!
2. This is the Chellberg Farm near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The photographer calls it a “view from the past”.
3. This is a dairy farm in Noble County. More specifically, these are beautiful golden soybean crops.
4. A beautiful capture of a farmstead located in Tippecanoe County.
5. This shot is a perfect example of why I love driving across Indiana. Look at the beautiful, vibrant green grass and trees at the side of the road! Incredible.
6. A beautiful picture of a dirt road in the middle of a dairy farm. It's scary to drive on these kinds of roads at night!
7. This is a picture of the Fowler Ridge Windmill Farm located in Benton County. There are actually several windmill farms in Indiana.
8. This is what a typical small farm town in the state of Indiana looks like. Doesn’t the thought of being here relax you?
9. This is what a farm looks like in the fall in Indiana. Isn’t that nine-sided prairie barn spectacular?
10. A close-up of some crops in Noble County. The photographer has affectionately named this “Flavored by the sun”.
11. Yes, this is a picture of an actual Christmas tree farm. I’ve never had a real Christmas tree – just artificial ones. But, I bet this farm smells amazing! I love the way a real Christmas tree smells.
12. Unfortunately, the photographer didn’t clarify where in Indiana this beautiful picture was taken. I thought the picture of this farm somewhere in Indiana was too incredible not to share.
Which one of these incredible pictures is your favorite? I'm torn between 4, 6, and 12! Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments section. And, if you enjoyed these pictures, please share them with your friends! Let's give these photographers the honor they deserve for taking such incredible pictures!
