Home of Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield, Grant County has a unique statue trail that is fun for the whole family. The Indiana Garfield Trail features 14 one-of-a-kind depictions of everyone's favorite lasagna-loving cartoon cat you've got to see.

With a drive time of about two hours and twenty minutes, the Indiana Garfield Trail takes you on a tour of Marion, Indiana and the surrounding area. You'll get to visit several libraries, parks, museums, a hospital, a school, and a couple city halls. It all culminates with a stop at an iconic drive-in restaurant.

1. Paws For Thought
This statue is situated outside the Community Foundation of Grant County and depicts Garfield taking a moment to think or meditate. If you ask the staff, they will open the gates, and you can can join him.

2. Bookworm Garfield
Just inside the Marion Public Library, this Garfield Trail continues with the ol' cartoon cat leaning on some books. The library is open Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Sunday between 1 a.m. 4 p.m.

3. Speedking
Located near Swayzee Elementary School and Alumni Park, this statue depicts Garfield as a basketball player. He looks like he just won the game.

4. College Bound
This statue of Garfield is ready to go learn something new and make the world a better place. Located at the Sweetser Switch Trail and Depot, it is an excellent roadside attraction for photos.

5. Dr. Garfield
Greeting patients and staff as they come in each day, this Garfield statue welcomes people with a wave and reassuring smile as they come into the Marion General Hospital.

6. Fit For Life Garfield
Nestled within the Matter Park Gardens, this vibrant Garfield reminds you to get active. Though typically known as a lazy tabby, this statue shows Davis' cartoon as an active cat.

7. Duffer Garfield
Only available for viewing April through November, this golf-themed statue is located at the Arbor Trace Golf Clubhouse. Check it out during daylight hours whether or not you play a few holes.

8. Worldly Garfield
Next, this Garfield Trail will take you to the Van Buren Public Library where you'll find this orange, cartoon cat standing atop a pile books and holding a globe in one hand and popcorn in the other. He is wearing an Aces jersey and looks like a student.

9. Gone Fishin'
Right in front of the Mathews Town Hall is another adorable statue of Garfield you won't want to pass up. True to the heritage of this area, he is depicted as ready to go get some fish.

10. Cool Cat
Dressed like James Dean, this cartoon statue is one of the most iconic parts of the Indiana Garfield Trail. It is located outside of the Fairmount Historical Museum for all to see.

11. Firefighter
Standing guard in front of Jonesboro City Hall, this firefighter Garfield is equipped with a hose and helmet.

12. Glass Blower
This Garfield is located right in front of the Gas City-Mill Township Public Library. At this time, though, they do not include any photos of this Garfield Trail spot online. If you have a shot of this neat statue, we'd love for you to share it with us in the comments below or on Facebook.

13. British Garfield
Located outside of Payne's Restaurant is a Garfield dressed like a British guard. Get photos with him and then head inside for the best fish and chips this side of the pond. Learn more about this fabulous eatery here.

14. Scream For Ice Cream
In front of Ivanhoe's Drive-In is the final stop on the Garfield Trail. After you've seen all these statues, enjoyed some history, and had a meal at Payne's, you might be ready for some dessert at this iconic spot.
