Construction on the Warsaw Biblical Gardens began in 1985 in northern Indiana with this magical place officially opening in June 1991. This incredible paradise is situated where once the Levin and Sons Scrap yards sat for eons.
The gardens are designed to contain the plant species of the Bible. Encompassing about .75-acres, this Garden of Eden is home to about 100 marvelous plants that are on display April through October.
The Holy Land was known for its diverse climates, which is what allows these trees, bushes, flowers, and other life to grow in the Midwest. Each plant you see is mentioned in either or both of the Old and New Testaments.
People of all faiths and ages are welcomed and impressed by these spiritual gardens. While most choose to roam around self-guided, one-hour tours are available May 15 through September 15 for $2. Add a plant book for $3.
In all, visitors will pass through the Meadow, the Orchard, the Forest, the Desert, the Wet and Dry Brook, and the Crop area, all of which are climates spoken of in the Bible. Here is a place where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes as close to the Garden of Eden as possible.
This sacred place is popular for weddings and other private events. There's no other attraction like this in the Midwest to feed your soul.
Warsaw Biblical Gardens are open daily between dawn and dusk, and you can learn more about it on its website or Facebook page.
