This hidden gem hosts several events throughout the year, and its rich 200+ year history is evident as you explore the town. But what makes this community special is that it's home to one of the most underrated parks in the state.
As the crown jewel of the town, Falls Park is a 284-acre scenic oasis that boasts tons of recreation. From a golf course to a swimming pool to a fishing pond, and more, this local park is a hidden gem waiting to be explored.
If you visit during the warmer months, you'll love the Alvin D. Brown Memorial Swimming Pool. Splashing in this Olympic-size pool completed with a massive waterslide is the best way to spend a summer day.
Of course, the kids will have a blast on the state-of-the-art playground that features swings, slides, along with a fitness area.
If you wanna stretch your legs and immerse yourself in nature, there are miles of scenic hiking trails that meander through the park.
