Ogle Lake Trail #7 isn't just scenic - it's also easy, which makes it an excellent option for (almost) everyone.
This trail is a good one for solo hikers, paired hikers, and hikers with kids in tow. The lake is definitely the highlight, but the whole thing is seriously a treat no matter what.
The trail loops around Ogle Lake, so it's in view for the vast majority of this adventure.
There's not much elevation gain, and the views are to die for.
Ogle Lake isn't terribly large, coming in at just 17 acres in size.
There is no swimming, but you're more than welcome to dip your toes in and just... you know... sit for a while.
This trail is very popular, but you might just get it to yourself if you show up very early in the morning on a weekday.
This hike is ideal for anyone looking to get out and about to enjoy the great outdoors without overdoing it in the physical effort department. Overall, you can expect the trail to loop around the lake for 1.2 miles.
It's open year-round, but we strongly suggest checking it out in the spring, summer, or fall.
