1. Moomaw America's One & Only Hippie Memorial
Situated in downtown Arcola, this unique display is a cultural timepiece that was built in the 1990s. It is made from scrap metal and is an homage to the decades of the past.
2. Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park
Established in 1978 and situated just south of Chicago, this eye-catching sculpture park features a wide variety of art pieces. Abstract structures will send you on a psychedelic walk you won't soon forget.
3. Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park
It is free to visit the 60 contemporary sculptures found at this park. Situated in the Chicago suburbs, it was founded in 1988 and features an assortment of colorful and psychedelic attractions that locals and visitors love photographing.
4. Pink Elephant Antique Mall
Located outside an old converted gym, this painted pink elephant statue stands outside of an antique store that is set up like a flea market. Other oddities in the yard include a UFO and a storage container. You'll definitely be in a psychedelic world here.
5. West Street Sculpture Park
This junk garden is full of wonder. Everything is made from scrap metal and painted. The artwork is all created by one man and is tucked away within the woods behind his workshop.
6. The Chicago Athenaeum
Situated on 20 acres of meadow and forest land, this park is the nation's only independent museum of architecture. It was founded in 1988 and features a wide array of unique art pieces.
7. Garden Of The Gods
One of the most popular recreational areas in southern Illinois, this place of hiking and exploring will blow your mind due to its extraordinary rock formations. Mushroom rocks, mountainous formations, and more abound.
