There are plenty of paddle trails in Illinois that range from lazy lake loops to more advanced paddles, but this particular paddle trail in Illinois is great for all skill levels, and highlights some truly stunning scenery along the DuPage River.
If you’re a beginner to paddle trails, this stretch of the DuPage River is perfect for you.
You’ll launch from the Eaton Preserve and then paddle down the river to Riverside Parkway, a total of about 7.5 miles.
Paddle trails are great opportunities to explore the scenery from an entirely new perspective.
Whether you've got the entire family with you or you're just looking for a solo adventure, this scenic paddle trail is perfect for everyone.
This stretch of the river passes close to the Lake Renwick Heron Rookery, so you have a great chance of seeing some beautiful birds along the way.
Also, keep your eyes to the shoreline and you might spot a white-tailed deer or two coming to the river for a drink.
While there are many places to launch and access the DuPage River Trail, this little stretch might just be the most peaceful.
