The County of DuPage in northern Illinois has put together an incredible map of all the bike paths that run through it as well as the most popular attractions that are accessible nearby.
Most follow the Great Western Trail and the Illinois Prairie Path, but there are about 20 additional, shorter bike trails as well for people to enjoy.
The paths will take bikers through all sorts of terrain. You'll get to see everything from forestry to urban neighborhoods to prairie land and farms when you explore them.
The map shows you all the places you can park, use a restroom, find a bench, picnic area, or shelter, and get water.
Additionally, the map showcases area farmers' markets, many of which are seasonal, as well as attractions like museums, farms, and state parks.
Trails from less than a mile to over three miles long, but you can always make any trip as long or short as you like. Many paths are paved and connect towns, parks, neighborhoods, and other communities.
You'll see the DuPage River, streams and creeks, farms, towns big and small, and so much more when you traverse one or more of these bike trails in DuPage County.
