As a mom of young children, one of the things I love most about Idaho is all of the incredible city parks that dot the state. We’ve spent time in many of these parks and each one has something to offer. However, tucked away in the city of Eagle may be one of the best family-friendly parks in Idaho — Stephen C. Guerber Park. This outdoor destination has so much to enjoy including the coolest playground, a splash pad, playing fields, picnic areas, and more. It’s a fabulous spot in Treasure Valley for a summer day trip.
When you want to spend time outside with the entire family, there’s no better place than Stephen C. Guerber Park in Eagle. Located at 2200 Hill Road, this city park is truly extraordinary.
This 15-acre city park was completed in 2007. It’s a bit unique as it was built on a former gravel pit and has been completed in phases over the years. Today, you’ll find plenty to love about this area.
Of course, when you visit, you’ll notice basic traditional park amenities including lots of green space, picnic tables, benches, and more.
Take a walk around the perimeter trail to become familiar with the park or let out your competitive side on one of the many playing fields.
If you have young kids in tow, you’ll want to quickly make your way over to the playground. This playground is colorful and bright and features numerous slides, climbing structures, and more.
And on those hot summer days, there’s no place better to hang out than the splash pad. Just be prepared to become very, very wet.
The splash pads are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
This city park is open from dawn to dusk and with so much to do, you can easily spend an afternoon or a full day here. It’s a delightful summer day trip for the entire family.
