When living in Idaho, it isn't too hard to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in nature. Even in the cities, you don’t have to travel too far to find a location that makes you feel far, far away. Located in the panhandle is Q'emiln Park, a Post Falls city park that will make you feel just this way. With a river, beaches, trails, climbing walls, and more, this is one Idaho destination that you should visit at least once.
Q’emiln Park is located in Post Falls, right along the Spokane River. This 78-acre park is much more than your average city park with playgrounds and picnic tables.
In fact, Q’emiln Park is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. It truly is a hidden gem in northern Idaho.
Being right on the river, you’ll always find something to do. You can sit and enjoy the gorgeous river views …
… or even spend time in the water or on the beaches.
However, one of the most incredible features of this Post Falls city park is its 40 acres of trails. Q’emiln Park features quite an extensive trail system with loop and one-way trail options.
You can always take a single trail, or many trails connect, allowing you to customize your hike. Some trails are less than 0.5 miles while other trails are nearly 4 miles in length.
Plus, scattered throughout these trails are more than 20 natural climbing walls.
Volunteers have installed fixed anchors and have cleared loose rock on each of the climbing walls. While there is no guarantee that each climbing wall is 100% safe, volunteers have done all they can to keep the challenge, while also keeping you as safe as possible.
Whether you want to go for a climb or a hike or spend the day near the water, Q’emiln Park in Post Falls will not leave you disappointed.
