There are short and easy hiking trails in Idaho that take you to gorgeous overlooks, magical waterfalls, and even ruins. But, how about a short-and-sweet hike that takes you around an entire lake? The Round Lake Trail, located in Round Lake State Park, does just that. In less than two miles and with very little elevation gain, you will walk around the entire lake. It’s perfect for an easy afternoon in nature or even a family day trip. In fact, this is one of the best kid-friendly hikes in Idaho.
The Round Lake Trail is a 1.8-mile loop trail in Round Lake State Park. It is easy, flat, and quite gorgeous.
This is a popular hiking trail, so expect to see other hikers on your journey. However, you can still find some quiet in various areas along the trail.
