Cooler days are almost here in Idaho, and many of us are pulling out our sweaters and mugs of hot cider to get into the seasonal spirit. A visit to one of these enchanting apple orchards in Idaho is a must for anyone this year. This fun and family-friendly activity is the perfect way to rejoice in the Autumn spirit, so take a look at the five best apple orchards in Idaho and head to the nearest one!
1. Cabalo's Orchard & Gardens, Kuna
When it comes to apple picking in Idaho, no place beats Cabalo's Orchard. This family-run operation uses natural growing practices to grow their fruit. This place is home to the most exquisite apples, blackberries, and pumpkins. They are open for the public to come and pick their own fruit through October. You can even buy some fresh-pressed, homemade cider after you pick!
2. Tyler's Rocky Point Orchard
Tyler's is a family-operated orchard that we've featured here for its charming cider mill! Their cider is absolutely delicious, but takes a backseat to the amazing picking options you'll receive when you visit the orchard. This apple orchard's season usually runs through October and you can bet you'll find pretty much any apple you can imagine here.
3. Isom's Apple Fruit Farms, Blackfoot
Add this to your list of apple orchards to visit in fall in Idaho. Isom's began raising apples in 1994 and now there are over 2,700 apple trees across the entirety of the farm. Located next to the gorgeous Snake River, Isom's Fruit Farms is the perfect place to spend a crisp fall day. Grab a basket and pick Honeycrisps to your heart's desire!
4. Candy Apple Orchards, Emmett
Candy Apple Orchards is located in Emmett and is a family-friendly destination for apple picking. Not only can you pick a variety of apple types including Red Delicious and Rome Beauty, but you can also purchase jams, jellies, salsas, and fruit butters. All of the you-pick varieties are priced at $1.00 per pound and you may just find yourself visiting multiple times throughout the season for all of your apple needs.
5. Kelley Orchards, Weiser
Kelley Orchards is one of the most incredible places to go apple picking in Idaho. This business consists of a small family-run farm in the Treasure Valley. It's home to some of the freshest and most flavorful fruits you can imagine. They grow apples, nectarines, cherries, plums, berries, and lots more. For some reason, the apples just taste so much better knowing you picked it off the tree yourself.
