Take a shaded jaunt near Hiawassee, Georgia, and wind up at a stunning waterfall natural pool.
The hike from the High Shoals Falls trailhead is about 2.3 miles out and back, but in between, you’ll see some stunning scenic spots.
The hiking trail offers access to both Blue Hole Falls and High Shoals Falls—two waterfalls for the price of one!
The hike itself has been labeled as moderate, just because of the various terrain you’ll encounter along the way.
But as long as you keep moving forward, you’ll end up with an opportunity to take a dip in the natural pools.
Bring some water shoes with you as not only will you have to likely cross a part of the creek during the hike, but also if you want the added protection while swimming under the waterfall.
You’ll have the opportunity to swim at either falls, which is a welcomed way to spend an afternoon keeping cool from the Georgia sun.
