Vogel State Park is one of Georgia’s most underrated parks, and for the life of us, we cannot understand why. Chock-full of incredible natural wonders, this park is one of Georgia’s oldest, and most beloved. But for some reason, when put up against Cloudland Canyon and Tallulah Falls, Vogel State Park doesn’t receive half the amount of attention. Hopefully these photos will change all that, and be more than enough reason to visit.
Clocking in at 233-acres, Vogel State Park is located at the bottom of the famed Blood Mountain in Chattahoochee National Forest.
That means very simply put—the views around this park are nothing short of mind-blowing.
Especially visiting during the fall, you’ll see true natural beauty everywhere you turn.
Lake Trahlyta is a genuine draw for many visitors, who enjoy sitting lakeside, fishing, and hiking around the water’s edge.
Hiking is a huge activity at Vogel State Park, as the park sits at around 2,500-feet in elevation, with more fresh air than you could imagine.
With the mountainous habitat, flora and fauna truly thrive in this park, which means you never know what you’ll come across.
Visit Trahlyta Falls for an experience you’ll never forget.
Sit on the wooden deck, close your eyes, and feel the spray of the cascading falls.
Vogel State Park has natural wonders no matter where you look, it’s just up to you to find them.
