Burt’s Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia is a spectacular pumpkin patch that fulfills all the classic pumpkin desires every autumn season.
Nestled in the heart of the mountains, Burt’s Farm features a wide variety of pumpkins, besides just your average run-of-the-mill.
The story of Burt’s Farm dates back to the 1800s, when the patriarch of the family moved from South Carolina and purchased the land, which also included part of what is now Amicalola Falls State Park.
In 1972, the family decided to start selling the pumpkins they grew as the combination of the crisp mountain air and beautiful scenery of the leaves changing colors created the classic fall experience.
Today, visitors to Burt’s Farm still can enjoy that classic experience, bringing their families to join in on the fun.
Taking a hayride on the wheat-straw-filled wagons is as much of a fall tradition as picking your own pumpkins.
Also grabbing items from the Country Store, from Indian corn which makes the perfect decorations for any fall household…
