One of the best parts of fall in Georgia is admiring all the beautiful foliage. As the leaves gradually change from green to an array of red, orange, and yellow hues and the temperature steadily declines, it's impossible to not admire how beautiful the Peach State can be. We've gathered up some of our favorite spots for leaf peeping in Georgia, check them out:
1. Cloudland Canyon State Park: 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd, Rising Fawn, GA 30738
Cloudland Canyon State Park is one of the most beautiful places in Georgia at any time of year, but it's especially magical in the fall. The park boasts 3,000 acres of stunning beauty, with waterfalls, miles of trails, gulches, and more.
2 . Unicoi State Park and Lodge, 1788 GA-356, Helen, GA 30545
Unicoi State Park is a gorgeous 1,000-acre oasis just outside the downtown area of charming Helen. This is a truly stunning area and it's unbelievably gorgeous in the fall when the leaves start to change.
3. Brasstown Bald
Brasstown Bald is the tallest natural peak in Georgia, and you can drive right up to the very top. The views are incredible, particularly when you're surrounded by fall foliage!
4. Tallulah Gorge State Park: 338 Jane Hurt Yarn Rd, Tallulah Falls, GA 30573
Tallulah Gorge has been called the best state park in Georgia, and it's no wonder why. The 1,000-foot deep gorge here is incredible and considered one of the Peach State's natural wonders - it's even more wonderful in the fall.
5. Red Top Mountain State Park: Lodge Road Southeast, Acworth, GA
Red Top Mountain State Park is absolutely gorgeous and one of the best places for hiking in Georgia. There's not much prettier than seeing Lake Allatoona reflect the beautiful golden leaves of fall.
6. Mount Yonah Trailhead: GA-75, Cleveland, GA 30528
The trail at Mount Yonah is one of the most difficult trails in the Peach State. It's also among the most beautiful when the leaves have changed. If you're ready for a real workout, this is a great fall challenge!
7. Fort Mountain State Park: 181 Fort Mountain State Park Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705
Fort Mountain State Park is famous for the mysterious wall that lies within the park's 4,000 acres. The entire area is particularly lovely in the fall, especially on a foggy morning.
8. Amicalola Falls State Park: 418 Amicalola Falls State Park Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534
The tallest waterfall in Georgia is Amicalola Falls in the state park that shares its name. This is one of the most gorgeous parks in Georgia, and Dawsonville is a prime leaf-peeping area.
