The Hemlock Falls Trail in Cloudland Canyon is truly a sight to see, not just because of the overlook, but because there is a waterfall finish!
This 1.1-mile trail is heavily trafficked and is rated as moderate—likely because the set of stairs can be quite the doozy to get back up.
Visitors enjoy the particular trail because of the abundance of wildlife and nature throughout—it’s perfect to disappear into the wild for a while.
You can sit by the waterfall and enjoy the sounds of the cascades, or bring a picnic and dine waterside.
If you visit after a particularly good rainfall, then you’ll be in for a treat as the waterfalls will have even more vigor than usual.
Just keep in mind while it might not seem like a long trail, the number of stairs throughout will be what makes this more of a moderate hike than a beginner.
