The good news for those who want to do some waterfall exploring in Georgia this year is that not all waterfall hiking trails are long and for experienced hikers. There are plenty of waterfall hikes in this state that are short and sweet and still lead to a slice of natural paradise. While Georgia residents might be familiar with this waterfall, plenty of visitors will be surprised to find such a delightful waterfall less than a mile from the trailhead.
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in North Georgia just so happens to be one of the quickest to get to.
For just a few dollars admittance and a hike of 0.9 miles roundtrip, Anna Ruby Falls is surely a sight to see.
The hike is short and sweet and doesn’t require much strength or stamina to complete.
The trail itself takes people along paved paths from the trailhead parking lot, and through blossoming with wildflowers and towering vibrant trees.
The premier attraction itself is the cascading waterfalls known as Anna Ruby Falls.
This pair of waterfalls are split side by side and roll down the cliffside.
Guests are able to view this pair of falls on the wooden platforms provided for onlookers.
One of the waterfalls cascades down 153-feet while the other is much shorter at 50-feet.
Yet, despite their differences, when viewed together — these two waterfalls are a beaut.
So follow the signs to the parking lot and prepare for a simple, short hike to one of the most stunning waterfalls in Georgia.
