Georgia may not be considered the most snow-ridden state in the country during winter, but that doesn't mean we don't have some pretty fantastic winter activities. In fact, one of the most popular parks in Georgia turns into a winter wonderland every year, filled with tubing, snowball fights, roasted s'mores over the fire, hot chocolate on the Snow Deck, and more. Take a look at why Snow Mountain in Georgia is a must-visit for the whole family this winter season.
Stone Mountain Park is a holiday wonderland throughout the winter months.
In fact, from late November through late February, Stone Mountain Park opens up Snow Mountain, a snow-packed adventure which spans the length of five football fields.
Family can come together and play in the snow, build snowmen, have snowball fights, and create holiday memories.
Take the tram to the top of the mountain for ultimate wintertime views.
Avalanche Alley is designed as a fun, family tubing adventure down one of the park's biggest mountains.
Whiz down this 400-foot-hill in a tube fit for a big group.
Or perhaps enjoy the snow cannons which are used to coat the park when conditions are a tad bit warm.
You can also ride down on a solo tube trip, racing your closest friends in the lanes nearby.
Even kids three and under have their own mini hill, where they can ride a toboggan down and enjoy the fun.
No experience or equipment required for this afternoon of winter bliss at Snow Mountain.
