In Collier County, Florida, there is a nature preserve that is bursting with color. Pepper Ranch Preserve in Florida comes to life every year with fields upon fields of bursting Swamp Daisies. In case you've never seen these beauts up close, picture the magic of traditional sunflowers, then imagine a longer-leaf, and smaller face. Note: The sunflowers will be in full bloom this September, but make sure to contact the preserve in advance to verify bloom dates for the year.
There is a nature preserve in Immokalee, Florida that comes to life every spring when there are fields bursting with vibrant wildflowers.
Pepper Ranch Preserve in Florida is open to the public every Friday and non-hunting Saturdays and Sundays from November through June.
These bright flowers you’ll find in these fields are known as Swamp Sunflowers, or Swamp Daisies, and are actually a long-leafed cousin to traditional sunflowers.
These beauties can grow anywhere from five to seven feet in height, which will really make for a stunning natural showing.
Visitors to the preserve will be able to explore the 2,512-acres of space, which are brimming with hiking trails, mountain biking trails, horse trails, and so much more. Also, driving through the preserve is an option, in case you don't want to get out of the car!
There are even camping opportunities for you to spend the night and wake up to wander the wildflower fields.
Hours of operation for this nature preserve are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., which are also the best flower viewing times as the sun will be high overhead.
