Blowing Rocks Preserve in Florida is a true natural phenomenon that deserves to be protected for years to come.
As one of the most magical shorelines in all of Florida, what makes Blowing Rocks so unique is the fact that it is a natural area seemingly from another world, certainly one foreign to what Florida usually highlights.
Visitors are able to hike the oceanfront preserve and learn all about how these limestone outcroppings came to be.
This preserve contains the largest Anastasia limestone outcropping on Florida’s entire east coast, making it a true gem of the area.
The limestone are what make these rocks so unique, as it makes the shoreline feel like you’ve stepped onto another planet.
Hike the coast and view the various ecosystems within the area, and get your camera ready for when the seas break against the rocks—sometimes the spray of saltwater shoots up to 50-feet in the sky.
