Let's be honest, Florida has so many wonderfully charming small towns, it's hard to choose the best of them all. But, we do have one oceanfront town that deserves more recognition than it receives. Seagrove Beach in Florida is the quintessential beach town that we all know and love—mom-and-pop storefronts, colorful classic decor, a community-forward attitude, and of course, a beautiful beach within walking distance. It really doesn’t get much better than this…
Seagrove Beach, Florida was one of the very first towns established in South Walton back in the 1940s.
The community was founded by C.H. McGee, who had a vision of 170-acres filled with a deeded beach area, sandy roads, concrete cottages, and a general store.
While the town has since evolved over time, it has now become a charming beachfront community filled with personality.
Some of the highlights of Seagrove Village come from the character of each mom-and-pop shop within.
Seagrove Village Market, for instance, has a grouper sandwich that has been blowing the minds of visitors for decades.
Angelina’s Pizzeria is another fan-favorite, with traditional red-checkered tables and a friendly local vibe.
Seagrove Beach is the type of place where you can get by with just a bicycle and a love of the beach.
Located on the Gulf side, spend a weekend at Seagrove Beach, the charming oceanfront community that has one heck of a view.
