1. Alpenglow Stube (100 Dercum Square, Keystone, CO 80435)
Enjoy this breathtaking mountain top setting after riding an enclosed gondola to the top of North Peak at Keystone Resort. This secluded restaurant sits at 11,444 feet and offers contemporary Bavarian cusine. They are open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
2. Game Creek Club (278 Hanson Ranch Rd., Ste., 1, Vail, Colorado 81657)
Game Creek is Vail's premier private facility which is normally reserved for members only, but opens up to the public for dinner at night. You will enjoy a beautiful gondola ride as you watch Vail Village fade into the distance. After the gondola ride, you will take a snow cat ride to reach the restaurant, which is beautifully nestled in the towering Evergreen trees. Bring your appetite as you will dine on decadent dishes with international influences at this exclusive mountain top restaurant.
3. Zach's Cabin (214 Beaver Creek Pl, Avon, CO 81620)
This rustic, yet elegant restaurant found at Beaver Creek offers the finest regional and seasonal fare with their creative American cuisine. Take a starlit ride on a snow cat drawn sleigh and enjoy panoramic views of Gore Range upon your arrival. Inside, you will find more of a "mountain chateau" feel rather than simply a cabin. Zach's comes complete with rustic log furniture, exposed beams, and a crackling fire going strong in the fire place.
4. Beano's Cabin (15 W. Thomas Pl., Avon,CO 81620)
While this restaurant may not be found at the tip-top of a mountain, you do get to embark on an open-air sleigh ride through Beaver Creek's beautiful aspen groves in order to reach this authentic rustic log cabin that serves five course meals comprised of traditional Colorado fare. This luxurious getaway is nestled in an on-mountain meadow at the base of Larkspur Bowl. You won't forget the world-class cuisine, which you dine on after watching the chefs in action in their open kitchen.
5. Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge (160 Sunspot Way)
Embark on an alpine adventure as you ride a gondola to the top of Winter Par Mountain to experience fine dining at 10,700 feet. The mountain lodge that houses Sunspot offers an authentically Colorado meal with the added bonus of panoramic views of the Continental Divide.
