Summer is well underway, and the temperatures just keep climbing. Some of us thrive in the heat, and some of us - well, not so much. If you're in the latter camp, you'll probably want to spend your summer cooling off in the water, whether that's on Delaware's gorgeous beaches...or floating along a lazy river. We happen to think you can find the best lazy river in Delaware at Jungle Jim's water park, located in Rehoboth Beach. It's one of the most relaxing ways we can think of to cool off under this year's especially brutal summer sun. Let's take a closer look!
Jungle Jim’s is a Rehoboth Beach institution, attracting tons of families each year to enjoy its myriad attractions. With water slides, a splash area for the little ones, a wave pool, bumper boats, and so much more, this huge water park – the biggest in Delaware – offers so much summer fun.
By far one of the best attractions at Jungle Jim's is the lazy river. This long, winding river makes its way all around the park, carrying along kids and adults alike on colorful tubes.
Grab a tube, hop in, and lay back and relax as you're carried along the best lazy river in Delaware. The lazy river does pass through a small wave pool, so be prepared for some minor turbulence along the way - but that just adds to the fun!
Some of the water slides let out into the lazy river, so you can enjoy a thrilling ride and then float off on your way. What a way to spend a hot summer's day.
Aside from the lazy river, Jungle Jim's has lots more to offer - like bumper boats! Kids are sure to love this one. Each boat even has its own water cannon to spray the other boats (so yes, be prepared to get wet). And if after some bumper boat battles you find yourself hungry, Jungle Jim's has a cafe on site called the River Safari Cafe. On the menu you'll find burgers (including veggie burgers), fries, nachos, ice cream, and more.
If you want a break from the water, you can also play a game of mini golf - jungle-themed, naturally.
Of course, there's a lot to be said for just lounging on your towel by the water and enjoying some sunshine before your next relaxing float down the best lazy river around.
Visit the Jungle Jim's website for pricing, water park rules, and hours.
