Ask anyone who lives in Sussex County - there is no off season in Rehoboth Beach. Now, don't get me wrong, there's definitely a busy tourist season, but long after the last visitors have gone home, the town is still alive with festivals, events and parties that keep Rehoboth Beach rocking all fall, winter, and spring. If you hate crowds but love the Nation's Summer Capital, try visiting between Labor Day and Memorial Day, rather than the other way around.
Of course, summertime is the most popular time to visit Rehoboth Beach. From June to September, the beach is crowded with visitors looking to have a great time.
At night, the boardwalk is bustling with activity. From Funland to Gus and Gus, Rehoboth's legendary Boardwalk vendors are here to make memories with Delawareans and tourists.
But in Rehoboth Beach, there's really no such thing as an "off-season." In fact, even when the tourists go home after Labor Day, savvy Delawareans still take advantage of our own "local summer" in September.
Fall is my favorite time to visit Rehoboth Beach, particularly on Sea Witch Festival weekend! This might be the very best event in the state.
Occasionally, winter weather makes Rehoboth Beach feel like a ghost town.
Once the holidays approach, the town once again roars to life! Caroling, an enormous tree, and Santa's own house on the boardwalk make Rehoboth Beach a great destination for those celebrating winter holidays.
In the spring, the town comes to life again with the big spring sidewalk sale, and on warm days, you can find Delawareans out on the sand.
The signature event of the spring might be the Dewey-Rehoboth Bacon Fest, held every April. Talk about a great idea for a festival!
So don't stress about getting down here before summer's out - this is one beach town where there's always something waiting for you!
Rehoboth Beach is truly an all-year town. In fact, that's just one of the reasons why many of us believe that It's Even Better In The Fall, Winter or Spring. Read more about Rehoboth right here!
Keep an eye out for information on the 2019 Spring Sidewalk Sale and Rehoboth-Dewey Bacon Festival, which are sure to be hits once again.
