The Nanticoke Riverfest is almost here! This incredible festival is one of Delaware's most under-appreciated events. Everyone who attends is sure to return again, year after year, when they discover all that's been hiding from them this whole time. This year, the festival will held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Downtown Seaford, and it's Tiki Themed! Take a look at all you'll find at the fascinating river festival full of activities, games, contests and of course the Nanticoke Float In.
Pick out a rubber duck, decorate it, and maybe give it some swimming lessons...
... and then send it out to sea for the Rubber Duck Dash!

Kids get to test their skills with a fishing tournament which offers trophies to the winners.
Forget Greenwood - festival-goers agree that Seaford's Volunteer Fire Department makes the best grilled chicken in Delaware.
The Car Show always feels like a step back in time.
The festival also features live entertainment from some of Delaware's hottest bands.
The best part of the Nanticoke Riverfest is the "Float-In." Dozens of Delawareans drop in to the river to ride our own lazy river.

What's your favorite part of the Nanticoke Riverfest? Personally, I think it's more fun than most of Delaware's festivals, and there's nothing like the Float-In anywhere else in the state!

Not one, not two, but twenty-five taco and food vendors will be on the scene dishing out their best for you to enjoy. Festivities in Lewes begin at 9 AM on July 4th, with games for the kids, and the yearly boat parade at 2 PM down the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. Anywhere on Lewes Beach is a prime (and likely to be crowded) viewing location, but you can also view the fireworks from higher elevations around Lewes. If you're hitting the beach, we love this cozy waterproof blanket for relaxing on as you watch the fireworks display. For more event details, visit the Go Fourth Lewes website.
2. Wilmington Riverfront Fireworks
Wilmington welcomes all to celebrate July 4th at a free event located at Riverfront Park (10 Cowan Street). Live music, food, and more will be available to enjoy. Fireworks will begin at 9:05 PM, launching from a barge north of the USS Battleship North Carolina. You will be able to view the fireworks along the downtown riverfront.
3. Hockessin Fireworks
The Hockessin fireworks display begins at dusk on July 4. You should be able to view the fireworks from all over Hockessin, but the main viewing areas are Swift Park, Piedmont Baseball Fields, Hockessin Library and Artesian Soccer Fields. The fireworks are rain or shine, with no rain date.
