For years, Delawareans have been falling in love with the Auburn Heights Preserve, and now the legendary estate is officially a Delaware State Park. Thanks to tireless efforts from volunteers and Delaware State Parks, as well as the enormous generosity of the Marshall Family, Auburn Heights is now even more accessible and protected than ever.
On Friday, November 9th, the Auburn Valley Preserve was officially donated to Delaware, making Auburn Valley State Park our 17th State Park.

The park is famous for its steam car trails, and seeing the Marshall Steam Cars out on the pathways is one of the most fascinating experiences in Delaware
The Marshall Steam Museum proudly maintains the largest collection of operational steam cars in the world, and now you'll have easier access to these modern marvels.
Keep an eye on the park's calendar so you don't miss their Steamin' Days. Throughout the spring and summer, these one-day festivals show off the preserve and estate.
The best part of Steamin Days is climbing aboard the small, fully functional steam engine train! This is truly a unique ride that you've got to experience for yourself.
With the dedication of Auburn Valley State Park comes new trails, restoration of historic buildings, and up-close access to the history of Yorklyn.

Tours of the Marshall Steam Museum and the Marshall family mansion are available by appointment for groups of eight or more on non-event days.
