2. Bluff Point State Park, Groton

Nestled between the Poquonnock River and Mumford Cove sits an undeveloped peninsula that's full of shimmering views. Bluff Point State Park spans 806 acres in the charming town of Groton, and there's no shortage of exciting things to do. 3. Sleeping Giant, Hamden

This 43-acre preserve was destroyed by tornadoes in 1989, but thanks to brilliant scientists, it gets bigger and stronger every year. Some of the white pine trees are 140 feet tall!

Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum is home to incredible dinosaur tracks that date back 200 million years! It's one of the largest dino track sites in America, and you have to see it in person.
