1. Sherwood Island State Park (Westport)
The state's first park is still one of the best. The observation platform gives you a beautiful look over the marsh when you're not relaxing on the beach.
2. Silver Sands State Park (Milford)
Home to one of the most beautiful boardwalks in the state, this is a fan favorite! Named one of the Top 10 beaches in New England by Yankee Magazine, you're guaranteed sights and fun!
3. Ocean Beach Park (New London)
National Geographic rated this 50-acre park as one of the best! With mini golf and an olympic size swimming pool, you'll have to visit this place more than once to see it all!
4. Calf Pasture Beach (Norwalk)
Kayak around the beach or enjoy the soft sand at this beach and boat launch. There's also a skate park and volleyball courts, so you can enjoy some other activities seaside.
5. Clinton Town Beach (Clinton)
The new playground is kid friendly and a whole lot of fun! This place is perfect for a more laid back experience, and includes plenty of picnic tables and barbecues.
6. White Sands Beach (Old Lyme)
This beauty is all about lounging and taking in the views. You'll definitely want to stay until at least sunset, and take advantage of the picnic area.
7. Hammonasset Beach State Park (Madison)
You can scuba dive, hike, and boat all in one location! Two miles of shoreline make this little beach perfect for walking and biking if you're looking for some seaside exercise.
8. Harvey's Beach (Old Saybrook)
Many locals would agree that this is one of the best beaches in Connecticut. It may be small, but its 100 yards of beautiful white sand cannot be missed!
9. Rocky Neck State Park (East Lyme)
Pass through the beautiful stone tunnel on your way to the waves at this beautiful crescent shaped beach. Or come for the camping and hiking!
10. duBois Beach (Stonington)
This hidden gem in the village of Stonington Borough has shallow waters, so it's perfect for bringing along the kids. Pack light and take advantage of the pavilion!
